Skateboard Innovation, Entrepreneurship & Social Change

This two-hour presentation and hands-on workshop is offered as an introduction to skateboard/longboard culture and production by community partners Roarockit Skateboard Company, who have inspired thousands of skateboard builders around the world, and Oasis Skateboard Factory, called the “#1 Coolest School in the GTA” by the Toronto Star. Using Roarockit as an example of innovation in accessible, do-it-yourself design technology and the OSF as an example of innovation in education, participants will explore creative art and business opportunities to re/engage youth in the classroom and community.
